Faye BresUnoccupied

After a short stint as a geologist in the Oil and Gas industry, Faye spent most of her career developing and auditing Environmental Management Systems to control environmental impacts from Power Generation and Distribution, Pulp and Paper production, Industrial and Hazardous Waste Treatment, Oil and Gas, and Mining. After a realization that it is not possible to “control” something as complex as the natural environment, she returned to school to develop a more integrated approach. Her PhD in Complex Adaptive Systems focuses on how human organizations adapt (potentially!) in relationship with ever changing environments.
Being no longer “occupied” by her consulting practice, she is focusing on adaptation at her own place in the Castle Mountain area; supporting sensitive native species in their battle with invasives, peacefully coexisting with large carnivores, and encouraging healthy relationships between humans, organizations, and the dynamic environment. School comes in handy, but she learned just as much from her lifelong experiences with her beloved beavers and other wetland friends at the pond. |
